Service to country,
service to community
Andrew Eberly is an Army veteran, cybersecurity professional, and community advocate running for State Representative because he believes public service begins with showing up for the people who need it most.
Andrew comes from a long line of military service. His great-grandparents, grandparents, and father all served in uniform, and generations of his family also worked in public education and public health.
Growing up surrounded by examples of duty and selfless service, Andrew was inspired to continue that legacy by enlisting in the United States Army immediately after graduating high school.
Andrew began his service in 2017 as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear specialist. He spent a year stationed in South Korea supporting a medical battalion responsible for the safety of more than 600 service members and later served on a specialized chemical response team with a global mission to respond to chemical and biological threats. Through these experiences, Andrew learned how to lead under pressure, solve problems in complex environments, and bring people together to accomplish critical work — lessons that have shaped his approach to leadership ever since.
After completing his military service, Andrew continued his commitment to protecting others by building a career in cybersecurity within higher education. His work focuses on safeguarding institutional systems, improving digital safety, and strengthening the critical infrastructure that Arkansas families rely on every day. He approaches cybersecurity with the same principles he learned in uniform: preparation, accountability, and a responsibility to keep people safe.
Andrew and his wife, Heather, chose Central Arkansas as the place to build their life because they believe in the promise and potential of Sherwood and Jacksonville. Andrew understands the challenges families face: rising costs, pressures on public schools, and a state government that too often shields itself from transparency. These concerns, paired with his belief in honest and responsible leadership, are why he is running for State Representative.
Andrew is committed to ensuring families have strong public schools, a more affordable cost of living, and a state government that is open, responsible, and accountable to the people it serves. His background in military service and cybersecurity gives him a clear understanding of what responsibility looks like, and he is ready to bring that dedication to the Arkansas House of Representatives.
For Andrew, service to country has grown into service to his neighbors, and he is prepared to work every day to help build a stronger Arkansas.
